The Best Music Albums - Year By Year

The last thirty years have spawned numerous great albums - and too many to mention. I have tried, however, to compile a personal top ten list for each year - the best ones can also be found on the Top 100 Album List. And if, like me, you are in your late twenties or in your thirties, I'm sure you'll know many of the albums on the lists...Take a flashback!!

Selection criteria for the year lists:

1) The album must have been released in the year it is listed. However, there may be occasional exceptions. This could be when an album didn't reach European shores in its original release year. This may cause the album to appear on the top ten list for the following year.

2) No "best of", compilation or soundtrack albums are considered.
