Why This Album Is So Great:
The debut album from Garbage was really special
in that it opened up a whole new world for rock music. Here was a band combining
traditional rock with electronic elements and thereby achieving much more dynamics than
traditional rock music. Needless to say that new standards were set and that this has
since inspired many others to do the same. This follow-up from 1998 is maybe even better
than the debut. It follows in the same footsteps but the songs are maybe just a litte bit
stronger and more dynamic. Also, I must mention the brilliant "The Trick Is To Keep
Breathing" which is probably the best Garbage song ever. If the debut was a great
party album, then the party just got bigger and wilder...!
