Toad The Wet Sprocket

Comments about Toad The Wet
Sprocket:
The day Toad
The Wet Sprocket split up was a very sad day for me. And for music in general. The band
managed to take inspiration from bands like R.E.M. and create their own, less introvert
universe. A bit like in the case of Del Amitri, I have a deep respect for the band and how
they have released some of the best songs of the '90's. It's a shame, though, that not
many people noticed. And now that they're gone, chances are that not many people will ever
discover this fine American band from Santa Barbara. But I suggest you be one of them.
Le Mec
"So named
in honor of a sketch by the Monty Python comedy troupe, Toad the Wet Sprocket's mellow,
melodic folk-pop sound made them one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the
early 1990s." Jason Ankeny , All-Music Guide
