The Watchmen
are living proof that traditional melodic rock music can in fact be played in a way that's
not old-fashioned or pathetic. They have something from Canada which, together with
inspiration from alternative rock á la Better Than Ezra or Live, adds a certain something
to their sound. Especially their fourth effort "Silent Radar" is beautiful and
one of the best albums to come out of 1998. A band that clearly deserves to leave behind
the minority status they have at the present. Le Mec
