This is ambient electronica at it's best. It's extremely melodic and walks the fine line between instrumental mood music and the subtle and haunting pop song. The album ore or less set a new standard for how electronica and pop music can be combined to great effect - also in the charts. It's one of those album where, every time you listen to it, you're amazed by how good and well-crafted it actually is. Forget about the guitar rock and disposable pop for a moment and dive into Air's universe. This is soft emotion at its very core and in the most positive sense of the word.
