THE HOT AND NOT
LIST Special: The Best Albums Of 2001
The year is just about over and it's time to round up the absolute best album releases
this year. There were many and the top tens below can therefore only be the tip of the
iceberg. For me personally, the year was dominated by releases by more or less establised
artist, but there were a couple of jokers in the hat. Semisonic came out of the blue with
one of the best albums overall (if you don't know this album by now, do yourself a favour
and check it out) and The Strokes were another great and odd experience. They started out
as a very good rock album but after having stuck in my cd player for three days on end
they were simply insisting on a top spot on the list. They hold great promises for the
future of real rock music.
