Why This Album Is So Great:
Over the last 2-3 years, I can't think of a better party album than the debut
album by Garbage. It has everything. Great rockers and ballads with an immense atmosphere
("Milk"). Also, it's fantastic how every song is so catchy that it could be a
potential single. Garbage is an artist I really like and now that they've released their
great second album, Version 2.0, they have won
themselves a spot on my Top 25 Artist list. They probably will be
eventually. Actually, together with a band like Live, Garbage have everything I crave in
music right now. Fantastic melodies with an edge and a great chorus. Within their genre,
it's hard to imagine it done better. In sum, Garbage is simply the most genius crossover
between Nirvana and Pet Shop Boys the world has seen so far. And three years after this
brilliant album, it's easy to see how many bands Garbage have in fact inspired.
Overall Rating (on a scale from 1 to 10):9
