Why This Album Is
So Great:
One of the best bands of the
seventies, The Eagles also have a special place in my CD collection. To me, they are more
than anyone else the kings of American west coast rock. This album is filled with all the
classics and it covers the career of The Eagles pretty well. Of course, if you feel like
knowing more than the hits, I recommend listening to their six individual albums. And if
you like The Eagles, there are so many artists from the same background to dig into. In a
way, the band was part of a movement 25 years ago, and even though the members have gotten
recognition for their solo work, The Eagles remain their main contribution to music
history. Like in the case of Supertramp, there isn't much more to say. The Eagles had
their own sound and more than anything else it represented endless highways and California
living in good and bad times.
