Why This Album Is So Great:

Take all the best from British band James and add the special universe of Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti. The result is atmospheric pop music out of this world. And make no mistake, this is pop music with a capital P. But the sheer personalities of the two people involved fuel the songs with so many different special elements that the term "arty" pop almost springs to mind. It's all very melodic and unless you deliberately seek the more unapproachable music genres, you're gonna love it. Listen to "Dance Of The Bad Angels" and you'll probably have a hard time going back to all the pop ballads you thought were so great before. That's the hazard here: it might change your expectations to pop music forever!
