Better Than Ezra

Comments about Better Than Ezra:
Take Live and
add a fair portion of U2. Then stir a bit of R.E.M. into it all and you come up with the
identity of Better Than Ezra, another overlooked band I strongly recommend. There's
something both wild and soft about the band at the same time, and their music spans over
several genres. In short, you'll never get bored with BTE and should take the time to
discover the band.
Le Mec
"New
Orleans trio Better than Ezra began their life as a Dinosaur Jr.-influenced combo in the
late '80s, yet they were sidetracked by the accidental death of their lead guitarist.
Deciding to continue life as a trio, the band eventually released their first album in
1994 on their own label."
Stephen Thomas Erlewine,
All-Music Guide
"The
album plays with a vigor that shows the group has maintained its focus on making quality
music, notwithstanding the distractions of fame. A winning release". Billboard
Magazine on "Friction, Baby"
